Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 13 May 2026This Privacy Policy describes how Quiver: Archery Score & Coach handles your information. Quiver is built to keep your training data under your control, stored on your device or, if you choose to enable it, in your personal Apple iCloud account.
Information We Collect
The Quiver app does not collect, transmit, or store your training records on our own servers. Data you enter or create in the app is stored on your device.
Depending on the features you use, Quiver app data may include profile details, archery preferences, club details, membership references, user-selected profile or club images, training notes, equipment records, scoring records, sight marks, maintenance logs, imported archery records, and recovery/export archives you create.
Accounts and Sign-Up
Quiver does not require an account. There is no Quiver sign-up, email login, password, or Quiver user account.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Quiver to Apple Health, Quiver requests read-only access to heart rate and heart rate variability data through HealthKit. Quiver uses this information to show training context and performance insights for your archery sessions.
Quiver does not write data to Apple Health. Quiver does not use Apple Health data for advertising, tracking, profiling, or sale to third parties.
Weather and Location
If you enable weather features, Quiver uses your location or saved club location to request local weather information from Apple Weather through WeatherKit. Quiver may store session weather metadata such as conditions, temperature, wind, humidity, pressure, and related outdoor context with your session records.
Location and weather data are used only for Quiver’s training and session features.
iCloud Sync
Quiver supports optional syncing across your Apple devices using Apple CloudKit. When enabled, your Quiver records are stored in your personal iCloud account and protected by Apple’s security measures.
Synced records may include sessions, scores, equipment, notes, weather metadata, and Apple Health-derived training metrics shown in Quiver. We do not operate a separate server database for your app data, and we cannot access, view, or store your private iCloud data.
Photos and Images
If you choose to add a profile photo or club image, Quiver stores the selected image as part of your local app data. If iCloud Sync is enabled, those images may also sync through your personal iCloud account.
Training Notes and Location Tags
If you create training notes, Quiver stores the note content and related dates. If you choose to add a location to a note or session, Quiver may store the location name and coordinates with that record.
Imports and Exports
Quiver can import supported archery records and create local recovery/export archives. Import and export files are selected, created, and handled locally on your device using Apple’s document picker and file export tools.
Support Requests
If you submit a support, bug report, feedback, or feature request through the Quiver website, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, request type, subject, and message, so we can respond to you.
Website support forms may be processed by our website hosting and form provider so that your request can be delivered and handled.
Third-Party Services
Quiver uses Apple services for optional app features:
- Apple CloudKit: Used for optional data syncing across your Apple devices.
- Apple Health / HealthKit: Used only if you choose to connect it, for read-only heart rate and heart rate variability access.
- WeatherKit / Apple Weather: Used only if you enable weather features, to provide weather and outdoor session context.
- Apple Photos picker and document picker: Used only when you choose photos or files.
Quiver does not use analytics services, advertising networks, third-party AI processing, or tracking services.
Advertising
Quiver does not contain ads, tracking pixels, or advertising SDKs. Quiver does not use your data for advertising or marketing profiling.
Data Security and Retention
Your app data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, your app data is also stored in your personal iCloud account.
You can delete app data directly within Quiver at any time, including profile details, sessions, notes, equipment records, and other saved records. Deleting the app removes local app data from your device. Synced data in iCloud can be managed through your device and iCloud settings.
Data Deletion
You remain in control of your Quiver records. App data can be deleted directly inside Quiver, and local data can also be removed by deleting the app from your device. If iCloud Sync is enabled, synced data can be managed through Apple’s iCloud settings.
Support requests submitted through the website are separate from app data. You can request deletion of a submitted support message by using the Quiver support page.
Children’s Privacy
Quiver is suitable for all ages. The Quiver app does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Website support requests should be submitted by a parent or guardian where required.
